Biography

Dr. Vijay Anand is a Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Physician at the Stollery Children’s Hospital, and the Stollery PCICU’s QI Lead. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Manitoba, after earning a BSc (biochemistry) from Queen’s University. In 2021, Dr. Anand also obtained a Masters Degree in Healthcare Quality from George Washington University in Washington, D.C.

 

Outside of clinical activities, Dr. Anand has a keen interest in quality improvement initiatives. He is the current lead for StollerySTRIVE, helping to conceptualize, develop and manage a hospital-based app for families with congenital and acquired cardiac defects. This stems from his work as Project Architect for the Stollery’s “Raising the Bar” quality improvement and transformational change initiative.
