HSC Children’s Hospital is Manitoba’s only treatment, teaching, research and health promotion facility exclusively for infants, children and adolescents. Acting as one of three referring centres in the network, HSC Children’s serves communities in Manitoba, Northwestern Ontario and parts of Saskatchewan and Nunavut.

Over 6,000 children with heart conditions rely on the Heart Centre’s state-of-the-art facilities at HSC Children’s for education, testing, and procedures. Each year, the Children’s Heart Centre sees about 5,500 children in clinic, performs about 120 fetal echocardiograms and 50 cardiac catheterizations, and refers around 150 children to different parts of the WCCHN team for specialized care and surgery.
