Dr. Michal Kantoch

Dr. Michal J. Kantoch, MD, FRCPC, received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Medical Academy in Warsaw, Poland. He has received professional certifications in internal medicine (National Heart Institute, Warsaw, Poland), general pediatrics and pediatric cardiology (State University of New York, Buffalo NY, USA), and cardiac electrophysiology (Ottawa University Heart Institute, Ottawa, ON, Canada). Presently, he is a Professor of Pediatrics and formerly the Interim Clinical Director for the Division of Pediatric Cardiology at the University of Alberta in Edmonton. He is a staff Cardiologist at the Stollery Children’s Hospital.

His major areas of interest for both clinical and research activity include cardiac arrhythmia, catheter ablation, and implantable devices for pediatric and adult patients with congenital heart disease. Dr. Kantoch has authored more than 50 original publications and clinical reviews, and is a reviewer for several scientific medical journals.
