Dr. Ernest Phillipos

Dr. Ernest Phillipos was born in Khartoum, Sudan and attended Medical School at University of Khartoum. He received his MBBS in 1977. Further Pediatric training was obtained in England, UK in 1979 -1987. He did his Neonatal Fellowship training in Edmonton at the University of Alberta Hospital and did one year of fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology. Dr. Phillipos joined the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the Stollery Children’s Health Centre in 1991 as a Staff Neonatologist. His current interest is cardiac function in neonates with CHD particularly the single ventricle physiology as well as HIE and therapeutic hypothermia.
