Biography

Dr. Dominic Cave is a Pediatric Anesthesiologist and until recently a Pediatric Cardiac Intensivist at the Stollery Children’s Hospital. He is the current WCCHN Integrated Advisory Board Chair and is also the AHS Zone Clinical Department Head for Anesthesia.

Dr. Cave brings valuable experience to his current roles in both clinical and leadership capacities. He was previously the Medical Director of both Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care and the Pulmonary Hypertension Program at the Stollery. During his time in these roles, he was fortunate to be part of rebuilding both the nursing and medical teams (in collaboration with Patient Care Managers and Directors). Through combined efforts, his team was able to reduce vacancy rate in nursing from 30% to 3%, and hired 4 new Cardiac Intensivists despite multiple challenges.
