Biography

Dr. Angela Bates is a Pediatric Cardiac Critical Care Intensivist at the Stollery Children’s Hospital. Originally from Saskatoon, Dr. Bates earned her medical degree and completed her pediatric residency at the University of Saskatchewan. She completed subsequent fellowships in Pediatric Infectious Diseases (at the University of Calgary) and Pediatric Critical Care Medicine (at the University of Alberta).

Dr. Bates is an active researcher with ongoing interest in the areas of narcotic infusions and the early removal of indwelling foley catheters, nasal nitric oxide levels in Congenital Heart Disease, and the use of Bivalirudin for the prevention of thrombosis in patients on Ventricular Assist Devices.
