Dr. Dion Pepelassis

Dr. Dion Pepelassis completed his medical training in Greece and the United Kingdom (pediatric residency) before coming to Canada to complete further training in pediatric cardiology at Dalhousie University and Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. He went on to complete a Fellowship in interventional Pediatric Cardiology at the University of Alberta, in Edmonton.

Dr. Pepelassis joined the medical team at the Children’s Hospital, HSC in 2008 as a Pediatric Cardiologist. He is the director of the pediatric cardiac catheterization program in Winnipeg. In addition to clinical work, Dr. Pepelassis is also an Assistant Professor at the University of Manitoba, in Winnipeg. His clinical interests include Interventional Cardiology, Aortopathies such as Loyes-Dietz syndrome, the epidemiology of Acute Rheumatic Fever, Rheumatic Heart Disease and Kawasaki Disease, and Pulmonary Hypertension.
