Biography

Dr. Martin Hosking, originally from Alberta, earned his Medical Degree from the University of Calgary’s Cumming School of Medicine. He has received Internship, Residency and Fellowship training at prestigious hospitals including the Ottawa Children’s Hospital, the Women’s College Hospital (Toronto), the Hospital for Sick Children (Toronto) and the Royal Alexandra Hospital for Children (Australia).

Dr. Hosking is currently a Consulting Cardiologist at BC Children’s Hospital. He has held numerous leadership positions during his career including Head of the BC Children’s Cardiac Catheterization Program and Medical Director of the Echocardiography Laboratory.

Teaching has always been an integral aspect of Dr. Hosking’s clinical and professional activities. He currently serves as a Clinical Professor within the UBC Department of Pediatrics, Division of Cardiology, and is actively involved in the examination process for new physicians. This included being the Chair of the Royal College Examination Board for Pediatric Cardiology from 2006 to 2008 after having been an examiner for 4 years.
