Erin Bleker

Erin Bleker is a Nurse Clinician who is the Surgical Nurse Coordinator at BC Children’s Hospital. As a lifelong resident of Vancouver, Erin completed her training at Kwantlen Polytechnic University. Erin also completed the Perioperative Nursing Speciality through BC Children’s Hospital where she worked in the Cardiac Operating Room for a couple of years. She’s been with the BC Children’s for over 12 years working with the cardiology unit, nursing resource team, and cardiac operating room before transitioning to the Children’s Heart Centre in 2019.

In addition to her role at the hospital, Erin helps support the Pulmonary Hypertension program and previously worked with the Heart Function Program. Erin is also an active member of the WCCHN Nursing Committee, a role she has held since 2022.

Erin’s passion for nursing – and pediatric nursing – is through having the opportunity to help patients and their families navigate some of the most difficult journeys in their lives. Erin is driven to provide a high standard of nursing care and BC Children’s Hospital is somewhere that encompasses these values. Outside of work, Erin enjoys BC mountain life -a lover skiing in Whistler in the winter and road cycling in the summer.
