Daina Pedwell

Daina Pedwell is a Cardiac Surgery Nurse Clinician at BC Children’s Hospital. A lifelong resident of Vancouver, Daina completed her training at the BC Institute of Technology (earning a degree in Nursing). She’s been with the BC Children's team for over 13 years, and has worked within numerous hospital units before transitioning to the Children’s Heart Centre in 2017.

In addition to her role at the hospital, Daina is a key team member of the Cardiology Partnership Program, where she travels to communities across the province to provide care to patients in their own medical homes (so they don’t have to travel to Vancouver). Daina is also an active member of the WCCHN Nursing Committee, a role she has held since 2019.

Daina’s passion for nursing - and pediatrics - comes from her mother, who was also a nurse at BC Children’s Hospital. Outside of work, Daina enjoys coastal life - and is a lover of sunshine and any activities on the water.
