Dr. Andrew Campbell

Dr. Andrew Campbell is a Cardiothoracic Surgeon at the BC Children’s Hospital. He completed his medical training at the University of Ottawa and went on to complete residencies in General Surgery and Cardiac Surgery at the University of Toronto. He subsequently completed a Pediatric Cardiac Surgery fellowship at the Hospital for Sick Children (Toronto), and a Cardiothoracic Surgery fellowship at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP).

Prior to joining the BC Children’s Hospital team, Dr. Campbell was a Cardiothoracic Surgeon at both the Children’s Hospital of New Jersey and the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. He also served as a Senior Consultant for the National Heart Centre at the Royal Hospital in Oman, and regularly takes part in international conferences and teaching opportunities.

Dr. Campbell was previously the Director of the UBC Residency and Fellowship Program. He has received numerous awards for his teaching efforts including the Dr. A.D. McKenzie Clinical Teaching Award (2016) and the Resident Advocate Award for provincially recognized resident support and advocacy (2016).
