Dr. Aisling Young

Dr. Aisling Young is a Cardiologist at the BC Children’s Hospital (and one of two Pediatric Cardiologists with the Vancouver Island Health Authority). She joined the team in January 2019 after completing her residency in Cardiology at Dalhousie University and a fellowship in Fetal and Neonatal Cardiology at the University of Alberta.

Dr. Young has a subspecialty interest in Fetal Echocardiography which she draws upon to help educate medical students at the University of British Columbia. She has been involved in numerous education planning committees to help improve learning experiences for both medical students and subspecialty residents, and she has received awards for her teaching efforts including the Best Resident Teacher Award from the Department of Pediatrics at the IWK Health Center in 2013. Dr. Young also regularly takes part in Fetal Echocardiography rounds within the WCCHN.
