In 2021, the WCCHN sponsored two Western Canadian Virtual Heart Camps for Children with Fontan. These full-day virtual events were led by physicians and clinicians and packaged in a fun and lighthearted approach. Children aged 8-15 were given a safe space to meet other kids with Fontan, learn more about their own heart and ask any questions they may have.
In 2022, Virtual Heart Camp for Fontans was expanded all across Canada, and the first Pan-Canadian camp was held successfully in November.
In 2023 Fontan Family Camp returned to in person format.
2025 Pre-registration is coming soon.

Eligibility: Children between the ages of 8-15 who had Fontan surgery and are followed by a cardiologist anywhere in Canada!
Event Description:
We look forward to connecting children with Fontan to others similar to them through fun activities such as games or crafts and answering any questions you may have about your heart.
