Dr. Martha Moran

Dr. Martha Moran is a pediatric cardiologist with specialized training in advanced cardiac imaging, including echocardiography and cardiac MRI. She completed her MD at the University of Guadalajara in Mexico, followed by general pediatric and pediatric cardiology training at the National Institute of Pediatrics in Mexico City. Dr. Moran then undertook two subspecialty fellowships in pediatric echocardiography in Mexico City and at the Stollery Children’s Hospital, and subsequently completed an advanced cardiac imaging fellowship at the Stollery in 2023. She has also served on faculty at the National Institute of Pediatrics for two years, contributing to clinical care, education, and imaging program development.

Dr. Moran’s academic interests include clinical 3D echocardiography, particularly of the tricuspid valve, and single ventricle echocardiography. She has a strong passion for teaching and is credited with developing an international virtual teaching program during her time in Mexico City. Her commitment to education, combined with her expertise in multimodal cardiac imaging, supports her dedication to providing precise, patient-centered care for children with congenital and acquired heart disease.
