Biography

Dr. Samuel Stewart (He/Him/His), MD, FRCPC, joined Stollery Children’s Hospital as a Paediatric Cardiac Intensivist in 2023. He completed medical school at the University of Toronto followed by paediatric residency at Western University and both Critical Care Medicine and Cardiac ICU fellowships at the Stollery.

His clinical and academic interests lie in the realms of ethics and anticoagulation/thrombosis. His interest in clinical ethics led him to complete a graduate diploma in practical ethics at the University of Oxford. He is currently the ECMO lead for the PCICU.
